So it turns out that the previously marked route for the run
was 400 m short (not my problem the army didn’t accurately measure that
distance). That means my previous time
of 28:52 is actually closer to 30:47 for the 6.4 km (4 mi) run. My previous 5 km split would then gain an
extra minute or so to be 23:04. I guess I always suspected the route was too
short.
That said, yesterday’s stats would give me some new personal
bests:
4-mile (6.4 km) run: 29:48
5 km split: 22:58
Chin-ups: 11
Push-ups: 50
Sit-ups: 60 / 2 min
I was worried about the run, having gained 10 lbs after
having a kid, but I guess the body has a way of adapting to the extra weight to
maintain a relative level of strength and fitness.
